Barbara Barnes is an actor and poet. Her poems have appeared in The Interpreter’s House, Poetry London, Under the Radar, Butcher’s Dog, Brixton Review of Books, Ambit, Arc Poetry, The Alchemy Spoon, Perverse and Black Iris. Her collection ‘Hound Mouth’ was published by Live Canon in 2022.
Cindy Botha was born and raised in Africa and now lives in New Zealand. She started writing at nearly 60 while caring for her mother, a dementia-sufferer. Her poems appear in journals and anthologies in NZ, Australia, the USA and UK.
Alan Buckley is the author of two pamphlets and the collection ‘Touched’ (HappenStance 2020); his second collection will be published in 2025. His poems have been commended in the Forward and Bridport prizes. He was a founding editor of ignitionpress, and has taught for both First Story and Arvon.
Christian Donovan lives in Pembrokeshire. Last year she retired from work as a guide at Carew Castle. In the past she has been a dairy farmer’s wife, and a Welsh language tutor. She started writing poetry a long time ago but has only recently started submitting to competitions and magazines.
Tessa Foley’s debut poetry collection, ‘Chalet Between Thick Ears’ and follow up, ‘What Sort of Bird are You?’ were published by Live Canon, and was a previous winner of their International Poetry Prize. Natasha Gauthier is a Canadian journalist and poet living in Cardiff. She is in the 2024-25 cohort of Representing Wales. Lesley James is a Welsh teacher and writer. She’s a recipient of the Representing Wales Award 2024-25. Her debut chapbook is A Walk With Scissors. Other work can be found in a variety of anthologies and journals including Spelt and iambpoet. She also writes up-beat poetry for children.
Vanessa Lampert is editing 10 poems about Wellbeing for Candlestick Press. She was recently highly commended in the Ware, Winchester and Verve prizes and came 2nd in the Charm and Waltham Forest competitions. She has poems recently published in The Rialto, The London Magazine, Basket Magazine and forthcoming in Poetry London.
Glyn Maxwell is a poet, playwright and teacher. His latest books are ‘New and Selected Poems’ (Arrowsmith, USA, 2024), ‘The Big Calls’ (Live Canon, 2023) and ‘How The Hell Are You’ (Picador, 2020) which was shortlisted for the T S Eliot Prize.
